Privacy policy
Last updated Wednesday, 21 OctoberSehatty ("we") connects patients with doctors, clinics, laboratories and scan centers in Egypt. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
What we collect
- Account details: your mobile number, name, preferred language and, if you add them, email, gender, birth date and area.
- Bookings: the provider, date, time, visit type, fee and any note you write for the provider.
- Health wallet: prescriptions, lab results, scan reports and documents you upload, or that a provider you visited adds for you.
- Providers: practice details, opening hours, verification documents, posts, offers and plan payments.
- Technical data: device type, app version, push notification token and basic logs used to keep the service secure.
Why we use it
- To create your account and sign you in with a WhatsApp code.
- To show providers, take bookings, and send confirmations and reminders.
- To keep your health records in your wallet and let you share them when you choose.
- To verify providers before they appear to patients.
- To prevent misuse, keep the service secure and meet legal obligations.
Health data
Health records are sensitive data. They are visible only to you and, for records they add, to the provider who added them. Sehatty staff can see that a file exists but cannot open its contents. Files open through short-lived secure links.
Who we share data with
- The provider you book with receives your name, mobile number, booking details and the note you write.
- Service partners that run parts of the service for us, such as WhatsApp messaging and payment processing for provider plans, receive only what they need.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use your health records for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep account and booking data while your account is active and for the period the law requires afterwards. You can delete wallet files at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw a consent you gave. Contact us through the Help page. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Access by our team is limited by role and recorded in an audit log.
Children
The service is meant for adults. A parent or guardian may manage bookings for a child.
